Lightning Rod

To protect buildings and installations against direct lightning strikes, it is used a device referred to as lightning rod. This rod should be installed on the roof of the highest point of the structure with the proper distance from other equipment. Lightning system is composed of three parts including lightning rod, down conductor, and grounding system. This system creates a safe path of copper conductors and conducts the electric current of the lightning to the earth and prevents the unintentional discharge of lightning current in other places and avoids the risk of fire and damage.
